As I write this Blog entry, I am looking forward to being at the property this Friday, November 14th, and possibly throughout the weekend.

 

I am taking appointments to meet with people that would like to Camp, Fish, Hunt, or otherwise become involved with my Diamond in the Rough.

 

Although admittedly I have not made much progress lately with the property, I am working to change that, so that 2009 will be a great year!!!!

 

Bids are being accepted for the following project:

complete insulation, installation of toilet/sink/showers into small bathhouse building. (two doors on front). This bathhouse has been neglected for awhile, as the few campers that were at the property used the facilities in their full hook up sites, or the one 1/2 bath in the garage/camp store building. [There are now two 1/2 bath stalls in the garage building].

 

I believe that most of the materials for the job are already onsite.

 

***Although there are other projects that need to be completed, having these bathrooms up and running is one of the most important!!!

 

Right after that will be insulated pumphouses, for the wells, so that all three wells on the property are able to be used for campers/residents, etc.

Barter update: Looking for help with weekend work projects during Fall 2007, in exchange will allow camping/fishing on my property during Summer 2008.

 

Projects will vary, contact Robert to schedule a tour and for more details.

 

Campground is closed.  However marketing "Ottenburgh's Ramp Fishing Club" with camping options will continue, in preparation for next season.

 

It is my goal for Fishing Club members to work together for the benefits of the membership, and operate as a non-profit basis.

I am willing to allow members or the club as a whole to use, and possibly manage various camping options on the property, various options are possible.   

 

Progress on renovation of bathrooms that are on the porch of the Garage/Store building are moving forward at this time.

It took me a while to go through all the photos, but I did it. I believe that only two of them were blury, but they are there, and they don't take up too much time, before you get to the good pictures.  The pictures are from various times of the year, high, very high and regular water levels.  I will continue to add more pictures as I take them.  I am also going to go back to my www.AdirondackFishTalesEtc.com website, and remove all pictures that I have not taken at the property, and replace text that was put up by my web person, with text that I have written about the property. This will ensure that my property is shown, and explained in a true, correct manner.  It is a great place for fisning, and rustic camping. With great access to near by attractions.

Just a quick note, as I just uploaded a number of pictures of a great piece of property on Southern Lake Champlain.  Note that the pictures were taken at different times, so the water level is different. In spring every few years... it brings a whole new meaning to waterfront property.

 

I will try to get back here to post my thoughts, and progress of planned renovations, etc.
